Flowers, warriors, dragons, animals and iconic figures like geishas, demons, ghosts all different in appearance or approach, are collected here by Ichibay as studies sketched in clean lines and pure shapes, at times conveying that sense of magical irony with which Japanese culture imbues the visual arts.

THE DRAGON PROJECT

Big names in tattoo and specialists in the Oriental style have developed the theme of the dragon, some producing a single drawing, others creating a sequence of plates. These were collected by Alvin for an online gallery and have now been printed and bound in a folder by Tattoo Life, a collection of exquisitely produced prints, ready to be framed or kept in their folder as a treasured collector’s item.
